Online Pyke needs the Python helper.
The helper provides DNS-over-HTTPS and a local proxy. Keep its window open while you use online Pyke.
- Make sure Python 3.10 or newer is installed. Check with
python --version. - Download the Python helper
- Open a terminal in the folder where you saved it. On Windows, open that folder in File Explorer, type
cmdin its address bar, then press Enter. - Run
python pyke-helper.py - Pyke opens in your browser. If it does not, open the link printed in the helper window.
No additional Python libraries are required. You do not need administrator access. The helper keeps its own data in RAM; it does not create logs, settings or temporary files.
Python reads its script/libraries normally. Your browser still manages its own cache and your requested game downloads. Stop the helper with Ctrl+C.
Browsers may ask permission to contact a local-network helper. Pyke does not change your browser or system proxy settings.
